Starting Out an Immigration Practice

The three speakers are seasoned immigration professionals who will outline the fundamental knowledge required to engage in immigration practice, including best practices for hiring and managing your immigration law office. The broad-based topics covered will include workers, relatives, students and humanitarian areas of immigration practice.

Virtual Event: Compliance with the New Form I-9 and Virtual Document Review Option

Managing Attorney Victoria Gentry will present a virtual CLE on August 30, 2023 at 10am to discuss the changes to the Form I-9 and related virtual document review policies. The new version of the Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification, has finally arrived in the form of a 1 page document. This CLE will discuss changes to the Form I-9, including the new format of the form, the option for virtual inspection of documents, and reverification using the new form. It will also touch on how this new virtual document inspection option relates to the end of COVID-19 flexibilities. This CLE is ideal for employment counsel and HR directors.
